About the Port Charlotte, Florida Area
Southwest Florida, including Charlotte County, South Sarasota County and the City of North Port is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, yet it still offers leisurely, uncongested and unhurried living.
Money Magazine ranked us as the "Best Place to Live in the South" We offer plenty of recreation, both outdoors and indoors, as well as peace and tranquility for those who desire it.
There are many golf courses in the area. Charlotte Harbor offers approximately 125 square miles of navigable. open water which is a paradise for boaters and fishermen.
Interstate 75, which stretches from Miami west to Naples and then north across the Georgia border, has ten exits serving the Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, North Port, Englewood, and Venice areas.
Of all Florida, this area stands out as one of the most desirable spots - not too citified, still with much rural charm, yet with the facilities needed for comfortable living and a great place to open businesses and raise families.

Gulf Cove
Canal front properties are in high demand. For boaters interested in this community, the canals open into the Myakka River, which feeds into Charlotte Harbor and to the Gulf of Mexico. To reach Charlotte Harbor, boaters must pass under the "fixed" El Jobean bridge. Gulf Cove property owners who are members of the Home Owners Association have access to a community boat ramp that provides a protected launching area just off the river.
